Historic Fincastle Inc. held its free Christmas Marketplace at Fincastle Baptist Church last Saturday.
The marketplace saw many people in the Botetourt community and elsewhere enjoy the arts, crafts, and eats from another successful afternoon.
Several local wood crafters/woodturners offered Christmas-themed decorative items. Local artists offered prints of their paintings and notecards. Crafters offered creative items in fabric, including snowmen, embroidered hand towels, knitted and woven items, yoga bags, and many more “must haves.”
Other popular features included beautiful hand-painted jewelry, potters who created everything from functional bowls and similar items to whimsical vases and tea diffusers.
Glass workers sold everything from jewelry to fused glass items to “smashed glass” creative art. The marketplace also featured holiday wreaths, hand-painted ornaments, and local honey to add to potential customers’ their Christmas festivities.
Several food vendors offered home-baked sweets, many flavored marshmallow treats, homemade soup mixes, dip mixes, and many more delicious offerings.
