Linda Bell Barger Hogan, 72, of Roanoke, passed away Monday, March 4, 2024 at her home. Linda was born November 26, 1951, to the late Nanny Bell (Clark) and Frank Barger.
She had lived and worked in the Roanoke area most of her life. She was a nursing assistant for many years and had a passion for taking care of people. She was a devoted nursing assistant and caregiver for 15 years at South Roanoke Nursing Home. Linda had also been an active member of the New Covenant Assembly of God in Northeast Roanoke for the past few years. She mostly enjoyed the company of her family and particularly her grandchildren, all alongside a good cup of coffee.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brothers, James and Earl Barger.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Wayne and Andraya Barger of Forest; grandchildren, Aeric and Shirley Barger; brother and sister-in-law, David and Rose Barger of Hardy; sisters and brother-in-law, Ruby and Richie Leitenberger of Moneta; Kathy Hylton of Hardy; and many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends.
A service celebrating Linda’s life was held at 2 p.m. Saturday March 9, 2024 at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville. The family received friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the service. Interment was in Forest Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Eagle Rock.
