The Commonwealth Cup is back in Blacksburg after a one year hiatus as Virginia Tech beat the University of Virginia in football last Saturday night, 33-15. The Hokies had won the cup for 15 straight years before Virginia’s win in Charlottesville in 2019. Tech, now 5-6, hopes to secure a bowl berth this week, while UVA has announced it will not accept a bid if it’s offered due to the coronavirus pandemic.
