The Town of Fincastle held their annual Christmas Parade last Saturday.

The Town of Fincastle held the annual Christmas Parade last Saturday. Floats representing numerous county organizations, businesses, churches and schools rolled along the streets of Fincastle spreading holiday cheer.

This year’s parade featured floats and fun provided by Grand Marshal Joan Boothe, Botetourt County Sheriff Color Guard, Attic Productions, Lord Botetourt Marching Band, Fincastle Baptist Church, First Bank, James River Marching Band, James River Booster Club, Premier Home Medical, 4-H Honey Bee Club, Floyd Ward School of Dance, Robin Thompson, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Fincastle Fire & Rescue, Brent Hershey State Farm, Buchanan Fire & Rescue, Troutville Fire & Rescue, Botetourt 4-H Robotics, Harmony Equestrian Center, Star City Corvettes, Lord Botetourt FFA, Breezkrest Farm, Old Jail Gifts, Sink’s Septic Tank Services, and First 1X Coffee.

Floyd Ward School of Dance entertained the parade attendees.

Winners in the December 2 Fincastle Christmas Parade were:

  • Non-Religious

1st place – First Bank

2nd place – 4-H Honey Bees Club

3rd place  – Breezekrest Farm

4th place – Floyd Ward School of Dance

  • Religious

1st place – (tie) Fincastle Baptist Church and Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints
