James Alfred Dupree, 82, of Buchanan, passed away Monday, November 15, 2021.
James took over his father’s insurance business and formed Dupree Insurance Agency. James was a loving person; he loved his family and friends and he loved to talk with them and have conversations.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Carl and Thelma Camper Dupree; stepmother, Ruby Dupree; and aunt, Ethel Dupree.
Survivors include his sons, David and Jeff Dupree; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry C. and Marjorie Dudding Dupree; and a special friend, Lou Henry.
The family would like to thank all of his neighbors and friends for all of their help and the Carrington Place for their care of James. The family received friends Friday, November 19, at Botetourt Funeral Home, Buchanan, from 1 to 1:40 p.m., followed by a graveside service at Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan at 2 p.m. with the Rev.
