The James River High School boys basketball team will be hosting a benefit tournament at Botetourt Golf and Swim Club on Saturday, August 10. All the proceeds go to funding the team’s activities, gear, travel expenses, and meals.
The cost is $65 per player ($260 per team). This includes 18 holes of golf, cart, a gift bag, a full lunch, and gate prizes. Payment will be made at the clubhouse the day of the tournament. Please make checks payable to Boys Basketball/James River High School.
The format of the tournament will be four-person captain’s choice. There will be mulligans and red tees available for purchase as well (one of each per golfer). There will also be a closest to the pin contest.
Lunch will be provided for all players beginning at 12 p.m. at the clubhouse.
There will be a shotgun start for all teams at 1 p.m. At the conclusion of play there will be an awards ceremony at the clubhouse. There will also be gate prize drawings and giveaways from local businesses. All participating players are eligible for prizes.
