The James River High School Class of 1971 celebrated their 50-year class reunion at the Natural Bridge Hotel on Saturday, August 27. There were 34 class members along with their guests in attendance.
A special presentation was made to former faculty members at James River, which included a United States flag that was flown over the US capitol building in their honor, along with a certificate of commendation for their service as teachers and mentors. Flags were presented to Dianne Howell Baker, Randolph Howard, John Shotwell and George Ray.
