“Help Save the Next Girl” was a life-saving event held at James River High School on March 1. English Department teachers Kathleen Cornelison and Elizabeth Martin invited all students for training. Elianna Fizer, Liliana Bolling, Raelynn and Graden Fox are in their white “Gi” along with their karate instructor, Doug Bleecker. They demonstrated defensive techniques and helped the JRHS students. Classes are held at Carilion Wellness and are part of the International Karate Association.
