The James River track team competed in the “Colonel Classic” at William Fleming High School last week against a large group of talented schools.
Katelyn Wiley had a good day for River, as she won the 300 hurdles and also took a fifth in the triple jump. Reagan Hester was fifth in the 300 hurdles for the girls while Ian Hester took 5th in the 300 hurdles in the boys meet.
The boys 4×800 team of Daniel Holter, Camden Powell, Cole Miller and Dustin Crawford took a second in the meet.
In the field events, Levi Walker was second in the shot put while Logan Williamson and Jack Hutchens took third and fourth in the discus.
The Knights are scheduled to run at Giles today, and on Saturday they’ll compete in a meet at Christiansburg High School.
