James Stanley Hickman, 74, of Buchanan, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.
Stanley was a professional logger who loved hunting, fishing, walking his mountains, and foraging for mushrooms and ginseng. He was preceded in death by his parents, James M. and Betty Sloan Hickman; and brother, Andy Hickman.
Survivors include his children Todd Hickman, Michael Hickman, Karen Hickman (John) Moseley, and Jamey Hickman, all of Buchanan; sister, Etta Alexander; special sister-in-law, Arlene Hickman; grandchildren, Katherine and fiancé Charles, Thomas Allen, Kaitlynne Sue and Elden, Nicholas, and Payton; great-grandchildren, Kevin James, Klara Sue, Elden James-Dale Karter.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, in the Buchanan Chapel of Botetourt Funeral Home, 14920 Lee Highway, Buchanan. Interment will follow in Mt.
