Jeter Farm 2nd Tractor/Truck Pull Saturday and Fall Festival also begins

Jeter Farm is hosting its second Truck and Tractor Pull this Saturday, Sept. 30 on its Mt. Joy Road, Buchanan, farm.

Dragon Motor Sports is again running the pull that will feature pulls in six classes.

The farm’s first pull in July drew hundreds of spectators.

Gates open at 4 p.m. and the pull starts at 6 p.m. Food, beer and wine will be available for purchase.

The classes include 7800 Light Pro Stock, 6200 Outlaw/Mountain Boys, 12000 Altered Farm, 6250 Dragon/Altered Mountain. Boys and 8050 Street Diesel Pickups.

Admission to the tractor and truck pull is $10.

Fall Festival

It will be a big weekend for the Jeter family. The Jeter Farm on US 460 at Bonsack is also beginning its annual Fall Festival on Saturday.

General admission is $10 and includes the popular corn maze, hay rides, u-pick pumpkins, a barnyard zoo, slides and games. There is no charge for children 2 and under.

There’s also a country store that is stocked with all locally made, Virginia Grown and Virginia Finest products and crafts. There will be ice cream, local apple cider, fresh kettle corn, and on Saturdays and Sundays grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and roasted corn. Children 2 years old and under are no charge.

The Fall Festival is open September 30-October 29 on Fridays (3-6 p.m.), Saturdays (9 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Sundays (12-6 p.m.)
