Betty Ruth Smith Johnson, 87, of Clifton Forge, was freed from her earthly ordeals on Thursday, October 31, 2024, and is now at peace with our heavenly father.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Edward Smith, Sr. and Nelva Keffer Smith; husband, Tucker Johnson; and brothers and sister-in-law, Louis Edward Smith, and William Garland and Frances Chittum Smith.
She is survived by her brothers, Roy Morgan Smith and wife, Kathy, of Roanoke; Cecil Edward Smith, Jr. and wife, Pearl, of Glen Wilton; sister, Patsy Ann Smith Neil, and husband, Cecil, of Buchanan; and 17 nieces and nephews.
Betty worked for H.O. Canfield in Iron Gate for her entire work life. She always had time for her church activities, spiritual life, and family functions. She loved her family dearly and was always there for them.
