Ocie Ann Craft Jones, 92, of Roanoke, passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
She was born on December 11, 1931, in Craig County, daughter of the late Ted and Goldie Looney Craft. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Elmer G. Jones, and granddaughter, Emily Caroline Jones.
She is survived by her son, Jerry Jones (Caroline); daughter, Carol Canode (Sam); grandchildren, Shannon Turner (Mitch), Ann Long (Davison), and Alan Canode (Jess Main); great-grandchildren, Alayna Phillips (Jonathan), Kylie Turner, Emily Long, Katherine Long, and Harrison Long; and great-great-grandson, Levi Phillips.
A graveside funeral service was held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Ross Cemetery in Craig County by the Rev. Mitchell Turner. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
