Kevin Theimer received the 2020 Academic Scholarship awarded by the Botetourt Longbeards chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation. Presenting the check to Kevin are chapter members Ed McCoy (left) and Richard Pauley. Kevin is a 2020 graduate of James River High School and is presently studying Agriculture Science at Virginia Western Community College. The National Wild Turkey Federation and its state and local chapters annually award academic scholarships to students who enter essay contests describing their commitment to conservation and our hunting heritage, are involved in their school and community, exhibit leadership qualities and excel academically.
