The Town of Buchanan presented Patricia Kidd with a Volunteer Appreciation Award at Monday’s Town Council meeting. Kidd is a member of the town’s Special Events Committee, where she often works the check-in tables welcoming visitors to local events. She joined the Buchanan Rotary Club after moving to Buchanan 28 years ago and served many years as an officer. Kidd is also involved with the Friends of the Buchanan Library, often encouraging children’s programs.
“(Kidd) is often first to volunteer to serve and frequently takes the leadership role,” town resident Jessie Burton read during Kidd’s recognition. “Her spirit and energy frequently inspire others to contribute and work harder… Buchanan is very fortunate to have such an energetic and giving lady in our community.”
