Lord Botetourt’s Brady Kish pitched five no-hit innings as the Lord Botetourt baseball team put the hammer down on Heritage Monday. The Cavaliers won 19-0 in Lynchburg to sweep the season series.
Kish struck out 11 and walked two while allowing no hits. Meanwhile, the Cavalier offense had a big day led by three hits each from Gavin Walker and Chase Peck. Botetourt opened a big lead early and everyone on the team got at least two at bats as LB improved to 5-3 on the season.
The game was the first of four in four days for LB. The Cavaliers were scheduled to host William Byrd on Tuesday followed by a game at Pulaski today and a trip to William Fleming Thursday. The Fleming game will be a double-header with the jayvees but the varsity will play first, beginning at 4 p.m.
Next week a busy schedule continues as Botetourt will be at Northside Tuesday, home to Salem on Thursday, April 24, and home to Franklin County a day later for their seventh game in 13 days.
