The top eight finishers in each event scored points and the top six in each event were deemed “All-State.” Lord Botetourt had five All-State performances on a hot day in Lynchburg.
For the boys, Dylan Knick took fifth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.96 and sixth in the 300 hurdles at 42.96. Jeremiah Emmons-Mayo was sixth in the 110 Hurdles at 16.07.
Jacob Hodnett took a fifth place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.06. Seventh places went to Bryson Cook in the 800 at 2:04.39 and Sam Francis in the discus with a toss of 130’ 9.”
For the girls, Sydney Vokus was sixth in the 3200 meters at 11:53.03 and Maddie Malue was eighth in the 110 hurdles at 17.09.
LB scored in two relay races. The 4×800 team was seventh in 10:28.64 with Lauren Duff, Brielle Jackson, Katie Cross and Brooklyn Hornback and the 4×400 team of Duff, Jackson, Sofia Hernandez and Hornback finished eighth in 4:25.32.
