The Lord Botetourt boys basketball team will head to Radford tonight hoping to keep their undefeated record intact. Class 3 LB is 5-0 after beating two teams from higher classifications last week, Class 5 Franklin County and Class 4 Pulaski County.
Last Tuesday in Daleville the Cavaliers dominated Franklin with an 82-62 win. Conner Tilley led LB with 18 points, scoring all his points on six threes. Kyle Arnholt had 14 points and six rebounds, while Dylan Salvi had 14 points and Tanner Selkirk had a dozen points and seven boards.
“We played our best game of the season,” said LB coach Andrew Hart. “We shot the ball extremely well, including making eight threes in the first quarter and scoring 28 points.”
At Pulaski the Cavaliers jumped on top early again, outscoring the Cougars 22-11 in the first quarter on their way to a 77-60 win. “Another hot start led to a great win on the road,” said Hart.
Tilley was the top scorer again with 16 points and he also had six rebounds. Selkirk had 15 points and nine boards, Salvi had 14 points and Arnholt was a fourth Cavalier in double figures with a dozen points and eight rebounds.
After tonight’s game at Radford the Cavaliers are back home to host Carroll County on Friday.
