Team play for Region 3D tennis began on Monday and both the Lord Botetourt girls and boys got their matches in despite some questionable weather. The girls won 9-0 over Magna Vista at Hollins University while the boys lost at Hidden Valley.
Elaina Brown cruised to a 6-1, 6-1 win at number two for the LB girls and Alyssa Walker won at six singles, 6-0, 6-0, to highlight the girls’ win. The girls will now host Cave Spring in team play at Hollins on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.
The boys lost to the Titans at Hidden Valley, 5-1. That ends the season for the boys team.
Region singles and doubles will be on Monday and Tuesday of next week.
