The Lord Botetourt girls were second and the boys were fourth in the Blue Ridge District championship swim meet last Friday night. The William Byrd girls and Franklin County boys took team titles at the Franklin County Family YMCA.
Heat winners for the LB girls included Hannah Mizuba in the 100 Backstroke, Julia Misicko in the 100 Butterfy and the 400 Free Relay team of Analise Buyalos, Olivia Nicely, Misicko and Mizuba.
For the boys, Max Mizuba was a heat winner in both the 100 Back and 200 IM.
Next up for the Cavaliers is the Region 3D swim meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on February 11. James River will swim in the Region 2C meet, also at the Christiansburg AC, on February 13.
