The Lord Botetourt golfers shot a team score of 291 at Blue Hills last week to widen their lead to 33 strokes over second-place Northside in the Blue Ridge District season tour.

The Vikings, who were just 14 strokes behind the Cavaliers after two rounds of nine holes each, shot a team score of 310 over the full 18 at Blue Hills. Franklin County came in second with a 303, and host William Byrd shot 327. Staunton River brought up the rear at 443.

LB senior Samir Davidov was the medalist at Blue Hills with a one-under-par 70, and he’s now second in the overall individual standings after 36 holes. Teammate Ashton Harper held the top spot for the season with an even par 71 at Blue Hills, tying Sam Fansler of Franklin County for second-best on the day. Also scoring for the Cavaliers were Jake Koffman at 73 and Dylan Salvi at 77.

The Cavaliers were scheduled to play a BRD round at Westlake on Tuesday, and on Thursday, they have a non-district match in Lynchburg against E.C. Glass.

James River was off last week as a River Ridge District match at Floyd was rained out. The Knights were scheduled to play at the River Course on Tuesday of this week, followed by a match at Great Oaks on Thursday.
