The Lord Botetourt track team had a meet at William Fleming last week and had some strong performances.
For the girls, Brooklyn Hornback won the 400 meters while Maddie Malue won the 100 hurdles and Ella Johnston won the 3,200. Seconds went to Lauren Duff in the 400, Sydney Vokus in the 1,600, Elizabeth Hodges in the discus and the girls’100-meter relay team.
For the boys, firsts went to Jacob Hodnett in the 400 meters, Carter Hudson in the 1,600, Evan Gates in the 3,200, Dylan Knick in the 300 hurdles, Marcus Williams in the shot put and the 4×100 relay team. Seconds went to Bryson Cook in the 400, Rye Jackson in the 1,600, Evan Poff in the 3,200, Knick in the 110 hurdles, Jonah Clark in the 300 hurdles and Jeremiah Emmons-Mayo in the shot put.
The Cavs are off this week, returning to the track May 19 at Northside.
