The Lord Botetourt track team competed in the Region 3A West track meet at Fluvanna County High School last week and came home with 22 personal bests. The host Fluvanna girls won the meet, as did the Blacksburg boys.

Max Burke finished fourth in the boys high jump for LB by clearing 5’10”. He previously qualified for the state meet with a jump of 6’2”.

John Turner also took a fourth in the shot put. He had a season’s best toss of 47’9”, and he had also previously qualified for state.

Adrian Taylor was sixth in the boys 100 with a time of 11.53 and the boys 4×100 team of Ethan Clower, Clark Moeller, Max Burke and Taylor finished third with a season’s best time of 45.02.

The top six individuals in each event advance to the state Group 3A/4A meet at Harrisonburg High School this weekend.
