The Lord Botetourt volleyball team beat Carroll County in Hillsville Monday for their third win in a row. Botetourt is now 3-2 after opening the season with two losses.
The Cavaliers beat a strong Carroll team in five sets, twice coming from behind. Carroll won the first set 25-20 but Botetourt won the second, 25-17. The host team won the third, 25-16, but again Botetourt bounced back with a 25-17 win in the fourth to tie the match at two sets apiece. LB then dominated the fifth and deciding set to 15 by a 15-4 score.
Gracelynn Clark had eight kills and six blocks in the win. Ava Stephens had 14 kills and Addalyn Underwood had 21 digs while serving up five aces.

The win comes on the heels of a marathon win over the host Bruins in Blacksburg last week. The Cavaliers got on the bus just one day after beating Cave Spring in three sets for their first win, and they had to take on a Blacksburg team that beat them three sets to none in Daleville a week prior.
Blacksburg threatened to sweep the Cavs again, winning the first two sets. The Bruins took the first set in extra points, 29-27, then won the second set 25-15 and appeared to be on the verge of victory. However, LB rallied back to win the third, 25-18, then tied the match with another extra points set in the fourth, 28-26. The fifth and deciding set went down to the wire but LB pulled out a dramatic 15-13 win.
Clark had 11 kills in this one and three blocks. Stephens had 10 kills and eight blocks and Underwood had 27 digs and four aces.
The Cavaliers are back on the floor tonight with a home match against Liberty Christian Academy. Next Monday, Carroll County comes here for a rematch.
