Blue Ridge Friends of Library book sale one of best ever
Editor:
On October 27 and 28, the Friends of the Blue Ridge Library held its semi-annual used book sale. The proceeds from these sales help fund various library programs such as guest speakers, the summer reading program, adult’s and children’s audio books and, of course, stickers for the children.
This book sale was one of our best ever.
The Friends would like to thank everyone who contributed books for the sale and everyone who bought books at the sale. Without you there would be no sale. Bill Dunn, Derrick Freeman, Jim Jamison, Ben and Roseann Jones, Dee Mitchell, Carl Porter, Ron Watson and Marlyse Whitaker helped move books to and from the library. If we missed naming anyone who helped, you know who you are and we thank you very much for your help.
Finally, thanks to Food Lion for providing breakfast and dessert items for the Friends both days and the library staff for setting out a delicious lunch both days.
New members of the Friends are always welcome. For information about the group contact me at 977-0067.
We look forward to seeing everyone at our spring sale. If you have books you would like to donate for the sale please bring them to the library. We are no longer taking donations of magazines so please do not bring them to the library.
