Thanks for making the Fincastle Christmas Parade successful

The 2024 Fincastle Christmas Parade was a great success. The weather was perfect and there were many participants and many watchers.

Thanks so much to Bill and Cindy Price for participating in the parade as Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus. We want to thank this year’s grand marshal, Bill Gaul, for participating in the parade.

Thanks to those who contributed donations to the Christmas Parade: New River Electrical, First Bank, Wiegandt & Doubles, Woodsdale Group, Becky Downs and Ed Bordett.

Those who were in the parade were Botetourt County Sheriff’s Color Guard, Botetourt County Library, Lord Botetourt Marching Band, Rasnick Family Farm, First Bank, James River Marching Band, 4-H Honey Bee Club, Floyd Ward School of Dance, Fincastle Fire Department, Brent Hershey-State Farm, Botetourt 4-H Robotics, Harmony Equestrian Center, Star City Corvettes, Lord Botetourt FFA, Rooted Boutique & Salon, Botetourt Breakout Softball, CAMS Cheerleaders, Cub Scout Pack 211, Galatia Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Kiwanis Club of Botetourt and Fincastle Baptist Church. Thank so much to all these participants and the hard work they did on their entries.

Also we want to thank our judges, Chrystal Wright, Sally Waid, and Debbie Teaford, and many thanks to John Boothe, Melanie McFadyen and Pam Brooks for their help. Thanks to Cahoon’s Florist for the flowers and to Mike Wolfe and Bill Gaul for getting the sleigh for the float.

Thanks to the Botetourt County Sheriff’s Department for taking time to direct and block traffic for the parade and to The Fincastle Herald for articles in the paper.

Also thanks to the people who came to watch the parade and we hope you will return next year for the 2025 Fincastle Christmas Parade, and we hope all the floats that were here this year will return and many more new will come.
