Reader congratulates Botetourt 4-H members, leaders

Wow! I’m delighted when I read The Fincastle Herald each week to see the 4-H “revival” in Botetourt County. The wonderful things and happenings with the club are truly commendable!
While I’ve not lived in the area for over 28 years, I would rarely see numerous articles mentioning 4-H. As a former member and State of Virginia All Star, I recall fond memories and the values of a great organization that provides positive youth development and mentoring!
4‑H Pledge – HEAD, HEATH, HANDS, HEALTH
I pledge My HEAD to clearer thinking,
My HEART to greater loyalty,
My HANDS to larger service,
and My HEALTH to better living,
for my club, my community, my country, and my world.
Congratulations to all 4-H members and club leaders under the leadership of Tyler Painter in Botetourt County!
