Botetourt County Libraries expanding service hours

In response to public demand, Botetourt County Libraries will extend service hours at all branches on an experimental basis through the summer months. The new schedule started on Monday, May 5 and extends through September, at which point the libraries will reassess for any changes, including potential seasonal adjustments.

The new summer schedule is:

  • Blue Ridge & Fincastle Libraries: Mon-Thu 9am-8pm, Fri 9am-5pm, and Sat 9am-2pm
  • Buchanan Library: Mon/Wed/Fri 9am-5pm, Tue/Thu 9am-7pm, Sat 9am-2pm
  • Eagle Rock Library: Mon 9am-7pm, Tue-Fri 9am-5pm, Sat 9am-2pm

Libraries continue to offer 24/7 access to digital resources, including ebooks, audiobooks, streaming video, online tutoring and job help, research databases and more, as well as public Wifi at all four library locations. The pickup/dropoff self-service satellite location at the Botetourt Family YMCA aligns with YMCA general hours, and no YMCA membership is required to use the service.
