Representatives of the Daleville-Fincastle Lions met with local author Rachel Edwards on August 24 and presented her with their annual financial award. Rachel’s first novel, “Lighting the Candle,” was published at the age of 16 when she was attending James River High School. Rachel is currently a junior at Hollins University majoring in Creative Writing with a minor in Business and is also working on her second novel.
