The LOA will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 28, at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center. The chef’s buffet lunch will be served at noon with keynote address and award ceremony to follow. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. Cost to attend is $35 or table of 10 for $300.
In addition to celebrating 45 years of service to seniors in the community, the LOA will present awards for public-private partnership, interagency participation, a staff award, Helen I. Phelps Volunteerism Award and the annual Babe and Sidney Louis Memorial Award for an outstanding philanthropist.
Nancy Howell Agee, CEO of Carilion Clinic, will deliver the keynote address focusing on Living Healthier, Longer.

The LOA is a local, non-profit organization serving Alleghany, Botetourt, Craig and Roanoke counties and the cities of Covington, Roanoke and Salem. Its mission is to help older persons remain independent for as long as possible. Through 25 community-based services, the LOA is able to effectively carry out its
mission statement by providing nutrition, education, advocacy and socialization. The LOA is a 501(c)(3) agency.
