Cavaliers win district cheer competition
The Lord Botetourt competition cheering team won first place at the Blue Ridge District cheer-off at William Fleming High School. The Cavaliers advance to the Region 3D competition at William Byrd High this Saturday at 5 p.m., and the top two will make the VHSL Class 3 state tournament.
Knights end cheer season in region
The James River competition cheer team competed in the Region 2C&D competition at Glenvar last Saturday and finished fifth. Only the top two teams advance to the state so that ended the season for the Knights. Graham High finished first and Glenvar was second.
