The Botetourt Training Center Wrestling Club competed in the 19th Annual Valley Dominator tournament in Harrisonburg and had some place winners.
Taking second place for the Botetourt team were Jace Dangerfield in the Elementary School class at 80-85 pounds and Cooper Roberts in the high school class at 165-169. Bryce Howell was third at 80-85 and Joshua Peery took third at 171-177 in the middle school class. Fourth place went to Abel Driscoll at the Elementary 58-62 and Kayden McClure in the high school 160-165 class. Elementary included grades 3-5, middle school is 6-8 and the high school classes are grades 9-12.
Two Botetourt Training Center wrestlers placed in the HHH Battle of the Hammers Folkstyle event. David Aldrich won the Open Grade 6-8 class at 215 pounds and Madelynn Spence was runner-up in the women’s K-5 88-pound class.
