Lois Bittner will be guest artist at Lackey Studio and Art Gallery for the month of May. An in-person “Meet and Greet the Artist” reception will be held on Sunday, May 2, from 2 until 5 p.m. and open to the public.
Lois Bittner is a native of Dublin, Ohio, and has lived in Troutville since 1995. She is owner of Gilding the Lily Designs. The main emphasis of Lois’ work now is watercolor, fused glass, alcohol ink and porcelain, especially jewelry, although she continues to learn new techniques and try different media.
Bittner was a founding member of Gallery by the James, Buchanan, a cooperative art gallery. Presently, her art is exhibited at Alleghany Highlands Art and Craft Center, Clifton Forge, Lackey Studio and Art Gallery, Daleville, and her home studio.
Patrons are encouraged to attend the artist reception on Sunday, May 2, from 2 until 5 p.m. or the exhibit may be viewed at any time during the month of May. Appointments are also available by contacting the gallery directly. Lackey Studio follows COVID-19 guidelines by wearing masks and social distancing to ensure the safety of its visitors and patrons.
