The Lord Botetourt girls are alone atop the Blue Ridge District standings after shutting out William Byrd in soccer last Friday. The girls took an 8-0 win in Daleville.
Emma Rice had four goals to lead the Cavaliers while Allison Kirby and Ava Brumfield scored two goals each. Darden Goode and Ally Spangler had two assists each while Autumn Estrada and Lauren Uoetinen had one assist each. Lyndsay Prillaman had the shutout in goal.
The wins, along with a 2-0 shutout of Staunton River, gives the girls a 5-0 record in the Blue Ridge District and a 9-2 record overall. LB is the only team in the BRD without a district loss.
This week the Cavaliers had a big game Tuesday as they traveled to Northside to play the second place Vikings. On Friday the girls will host winless William Fleming.
