At approximately 10:30 Monday morning, smoke from a freezer unit in the kitchen at Lord Botetourt High School required students and staff to evacuate the building about 10:30 a.m. Monday. Botetourt County emergency responders quickly arrived on scene to assess the situation, after which students and staff were cleared to re-enter the building around 11:05. There were no injuries.
