Troutville joined many other towns across the state in the Love Works Program when the Virginia is for Lovers slogan celebrated its 50th anniversary.
Two years ago, the Troutville Sunshine Girls approached Raymond Whitlock with the idea of a sculpture for the town park and together one was created within a week. Town officials said Troutville is proud to have the Botetourt County’s Love sculpture in their park, adding the sculpture is child friendly being just four feet in height with a sports theme.
