Carol Alice Nutter Lynch, 73, of Salem, passed away Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
Carol was born in Richmond on March 13, 1947 and lived in Botetourt most of her life, and the last 14 years in Salem. She was the daughter of the late Emory D. and Edna L. King Nutter.
Carol was a cashier and bookkeeper for Truck Stops of America for 30 years. She was a member of Washington Heights Grace Brethren Church and enjoyed reading, watching Westerns, dancing, taking Sunday drives around the countryside, and snuggling with her dog.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Frances Melton. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Matthew Fink of Salem; grandsons: Nathaniel Fink and Donovan McComis; sisters and brothers-in-law: Mary and Gene Wood of Elliston, Pat Richards of Roanoke, and Barbara and Garry Angle of Rocky Mount; her fur baby, Shelby; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Carol’s life was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 14 at Rader Funeral Home, Daleville with Pastor Kevin Smith officiating. Burial was in Sherwood Memorial Park.
