The Lord Botetourt High School Marching Cavaliers had their first competitive outing at the Star City Classic on September 30 at William Fleming High School. It was the band’s second performance after debuting their new uniforms at the last home football game.
“The band had a great performance and did very well,” Director of Bands Chris Caldwell said in a recent email.
The Cavaliers received first place “Music,” first place “Visual,” first place “Percussion,” second place “Guard,” and first place “Band” in Class AAA competition. The band had the third highest score of the day regardless of class.
The Cavaliers’ next competitive performance is on October 14 at Harrisonburg High School.
