Virginia Mae Mattox, 67, of Troutville, passed away Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Virginia was born in Blacksburg on January 25, 1952 and was the daughter of the late James H. and Dorothy M. Davis Price. She lived in Botetourt for the past 32 years. Virginia was a CNA at Catawba Hospital for 25 years and was a member of Woodland Baptist Church.
Virginia is survived by her husband of 46 years, Darrell E. Mattox; son and daughter-in-law, Walley and Lisa Mattox of Fincastle; daughters and son-in-law Shelly and Kelcey Branch and Violet Dunbar, all of Vinton; grandchildren: Chylynn, Triston, Moses, Victoria, Emma, Gracie, and Guy; brothers and sisters-in-law, David and Tamara Price of León, Nicaragua; Jimmy and Mary Price of Radford, Johnny Price of Pearisburg, and Paul Price of Blacksburg; sisters and brother-in-law: Ricky and Ernie Blair of Clinton, Tenn., and Carol Price of Blacksburg.
A celebration of Virginia’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road, Daleville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
