Buchanan Garden Festival survived the day without any of the rain that forecasters predicted Saturday, and it turned out to be a well-received event for visitors and vendors.

The day opened with 10 young ladies performing the May Pole Dance while family and friends filmed and photographed the May Day tradition that was directed by Peggy Ramsey, chair of the festival. Here, Madison Stull, Laighton Tate, Ella Monaghan and Ava Thacker weave their way around the May Pole.
