Georgia Miller, a rising junior at James River High School, recently placed fourth overall in the spring VAHS Mountain Bike series.
The fourth and final race of the series concluded on June 18 at Miller School of Albemarle. Competing against 29 other girls in her JV category, Miller finished with 1450 points, securing her 4th place spot. She was only 18 points behind third place finisher Hazel Gillispie of Western Albemarle High School.
Tenley Kramer of the Charlottesville Racing Club and Evan Padget-Waller of the Miller School tied for first with 1,515 points. Miller races for the Roanoke Star Cycling team and is active in GRIT(Girls Riding Together) with approximately 100 other youths from the Roanoke/Botetourt area.
