Lord Botetourt junior Skylar Morris has been named to the Virginia High School League Class 3 all-state second team in volleyball.
Morris, a setter for the Cavaliers, was named as a “player.” All selections were named as “player” except for the libero position.
Grafton senior outside hitter Alexis Keeter is the Class 3 Player of the Year, and Hidden Valley head coach Haley Quesenberry is the Class 3 Coach of the Year. Quesenberry, named interim head coach before the district championship, led Hidden Valley to a 32-1 record in her first season with the Titans after serving as an assistant for the 2022 Class 2 state champion Glenvar team. After winning the Region 3D title, her Titans team won the school’s third state volleyball title with a 3-1 (25-19, 25-22, 25-27, 25-19) victory over Grafton in the finals.
The all-state volleyball team consists of nine position players and one libero. Only those players selected to the all-region first-team are eligible for selection to the all-state team. The all-state selection committee comprises eight coaches, with two from each region.
