Johnny P. Morris, 88, of Roanoke, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Johnny retired from Dairy Farmers of America where he served as a field representative. After retirement he worked for Oakey’s Funeral Service for 14 years. He was a member of Mill Creek Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He loved his church and his church family meant so much to him.
Johnny was preceded in death by his loving wife of 55 years, Jane Obenshain Morris; parents, William Ezra and Thelma Spangler Morris of Botetourt County; brothers, William Ezra, Jr. and wife, Charlotte Morris, and Robert and wife, Marion Morris; and sisters, Virginia Bonham and husband, James, and Lorena Cole.
He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Newman Morris of Roanoke; brother-in-law, Kenneth Cole of Cloverdale; sisters-in-law, Bunny Obenshain of Troutville, and Nancy Driscoll of Naples, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, at Oakey’s North Chapel. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, February 10, at Oakey’s North Chapel with Pastor Danny Quirin officiating. Interment followed in Mill Creek Cemetery.
