Virginia Presbyterian Church has a new pastor, the Rev. Dave Mucha, a retired United Methodist Church pastor.
In addition to serving Virginia Presbyterian, Mucha is a certified pastoral counselor with an agency called VIPCare (Virginia Institute of Pastoral Care) as part of the associate staff. He has two grown children who live outside the area. He and his wife Kim reside in Roanoke with their miniature schnauzer, Sally.
The pastor has office hours on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m.-noon at the church. He invites the community to join him each Thursday from 10-11 a.m. for “Coffee, Tea & Thee.” “Just bring yourself, a friend and a Bible and plan to enjoy time together with God’s Word and coffee shop fellowship.”
On Friday, April 14 the church will have a community Tenebrae service. The service is a short drama titled “Have You Seen My Son?” Everyone is welcome.
Sunday worship begins at 9:30 a.m. (nursery provided), followed by Sunday School at 10:45 a.m.
