A new adventure awaits visitors to this month’s Glebe Gallery Walk, where local artist Sally Myers is sharing a vibrant collection of artwork that captures the spirit of Christmas past, the promise of spring gardens, and the untamed beauty of wildlife.

Myers, who recently became a resident at The Glebe along with her husband, Ken, has quickly become known within the community for her artistic talent. Word of her work spread soon after the couple’s arrival, prompting organizers to feature her paintings in the monthly Gallery Walk.

The exhibit showcases a range of Myers’ canvas paintings, from nostalgic holiday scenes to colorful depictions of blooming gardens and glimpses of the natural world. Her work reflects a love of seasonal traditions and the quiet beauty found in everyday moments.

But visitors who attend the Artist Reception at 3 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Botetourt Room will discover that Myers’ creativity extends far beyond framed wall art.

“She has not remotely restricted her art to merely canvas wall paintings,” organizers noted, hinting that attendees may be surprised by the breadth of her artistic expression.

The Gallery Walk provides residents and members of the wider Botetourt County community an opportunity to enjoy local art in an inviting setting. Guests are encouraged to stop by during the exhibit and to attend the February reception to meet the artist and learn more about her work.

For those curious about what else Myers has created, organizers suggest attending the reception to hear “the rest of the story.”
