New Freedom Farm announces upcoming events

New Freedom Farm (NFF), a nonprofit organization located in Buchanan, recently announced upcoming events for 2024.

The farm will host a Barnyard Breakfast that is free for all veterans and first responders on Saturday, July 20. All other visitors are suggested to bring a donation of $5. NFF welcomes everyone to this annual breakfast in memory of local veterans.

Later this fall, Riley Specialty Acts is coming to the farm 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on October 5. That day, NFF will present a Trick Rider Demonstration/Clinic. Later that evening, bluegrass band Blue Connection will perform following by a dinner. NFF wants visitors to “get ready for some flat footin’ in the barn” and participate in a unique silent auction. Tickets and details will soon be released. Limited number of tickets/seats will be available for both Oct. 5 events.

NFF will also host a Veterans Day Breakfast November 11 from 6-10 a.m., a Thanksgiving meal November 28 beginning at 2 p.m., and Slacker’s Annual Christmas Caroling to round out the year December 20 at 6 p.m.
