Notice is hereby given that on Thursday, March 27,
at 7:00 p.m., the Buchanan Town Council & Plan
ning Commission will hold a joint public hearing to
consider the following rezoning & Special Use Per
mit application. A summary of the proposed action
initiated by Town Council is as follows:
Address: 55 Bedford Street, Buchanan, VA 24066
Buchanan Schoolhouse, LLC requests a rezoning
from O-Office District to TR-Trade District for the
property located at 55 Bedford Street, Buchanan,
VA 24066, Parcels: 65A(5) 14 & 65A(5)13
Buchanan Schoolhouse, LLC requests a Special
Use Permit for the property located at 55 Bedford
Street, Buchanan, VA 24066, Parcels: 65A(5)14 &
65A(5)13 to allow for mixed-use development. The
proposed project will include 13 apartments and 1
commercial (retail) space.
The public hearing will be held in the Town Council
Chambers at 19753 Main Street so that affected per
sons may appear and present their views on the pro
posed rezoning and special use permit. The full text
