An open registration night for students to register for the fall semester at Dabney S. Lancaster Community College will be held Tuesday, July 16, from 4 to 8 p.m. in the DSLCC Library on the Clifton Forge campus.
Representatives from Student Services will be on hand to help prospective students through the application process or to register current students for the fall semester. Library staff can assist students in taking the entry Virginia Placement Test and review Library services, including tutoring and the DSLCC Writing Center. In addition, the DSLCC Achievement Center will be on hand; the Achievement Center offers support services to first generation students including tutoring, mentoring, career exploration and more.
Brooke Shehan, the DSLCC FastForward Career Coach, will help students register for short-term career training in fields like CDL-A, Healthcare, Welding, HVAC, and more. Many FastForward programs offer tuition assistance to qualifying students, and in some cases, FastForward program costs may be as little as $100 or less for eligible applicants.
The DSLCC Financial Aid office will also be available to answer questions regarding the FAFSA application, help students complete and submit requested financial aid documents, and review student “To-Do” lists.
Fall semester classes begin the week of August 21. For more information, call DSLCC Student Services at 863-2820.
