The object of this suit is to enforce the lien of the Complainant, County of Botetourt, Virginia, for delinquent real estate taxes against certain real property located in the County of
Botetourt, Virginia, described as follows:
Tax Map No. 89(3)1A
Account No. 26980
All that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the Valley Magisterial District, Botetourt County, Virginia, and more particularly described as follows, to-wit:
Beginning at a point on the west side of Stoney Battery Road and on the south side of a private driveway and thence with the south line of said driveway, S 52.5° W 171 feet to a stake; thence across the lawn, S 44.5° E 79 feet to a walnut; thence S 24° E 132 feet to a stake in the garden directly under the telephone line; thence N 61.5 ° E 129 feet to a stake at telephone pole, and in line with Stoney Battery Road; thence with the line of the same, N 21° 18′ W 237 feet to the beginning, containing 0.78 acres, more or less.
And being the same property conveyed to Mildred Shupe Wood from
Raymond C. Puckett and Bertha May Puckett, his wife, and Mrs. T.M
Shupe, widow, by Deed dated September 3, 1946, and recorded October 21,1946, in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of Botetourt County, Virginia, in Deed Book 97, at Page 219.
And further being the same property devised to Richard Francis Wood pursuant to the Last Will and Testament of Mildred Shupe Wood, deceased, dated June 16, 1977, and recorded June 22, 2001, in the aforementioned Clerk’s Office as Instrument Number 01-110.
This description is made subject to all easements, conditions, agreements, restrictions, and reservations of record which affect the property herein described.
IT APPEARING that an Affidavit has been made and filed stating that due diligence has been used, without effect, to ascertain the identity and location of certain parties to be served, that the last known addresses for the Respondents herein are as follows: Richard Francis Wood, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is 3339 Stoney Battery Road, Troutville, Virginia 24175; Howard R. Wood, who is believed to be deceased and whose last known address is unknown; Susan V. Petersen, whose last known address is 5614 Powell Boulevard, Portland, Oregon 97206; Patricia J. Faris, whose last known address is 4224 SE
Knapp Street, Portland, Oregon 97206; Michaele D. Gregg, whose last known address is 24177 SE Filbert Road, Eagle Creek, Oregon 97022; Barbara J. Swails, whose last known address is 5525 NE 31st Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97211; Denise W. Walthour, whose last known address is P.O. Box 589, Seaside, Oregon 97138; Margaret E. Smith, whose last known address is 7006 27th Avenue NE, Seattle, Washington 98115; Sheila M. Custer, whose last known address is 3351 SE Franklin Street, Portland, Oregon 97202; John J. ORDERED that the parties herein and all Parties Unknown and/or whose location cannot be ascertained appear on or before February 17, 2025 in the Clerk’s Office of the Circuit Court of the County of Botetourt, Virginia, and do what may be necessary to protect their interests in
this cause.
