John Painter descendants (and in-laws) recently toured the “Botetourt County: 250+1 Years of Delights” exhibit at the O. Winston Link Museum in Roanoke. Exhibits included the John Painter long gun the Sallie Moomaw Painter sundial, and a William Painter Simmons footstool and hand-turned wooden bowl. The exhibit of several hundred items was curated by Ashley Webb, curator of Collections & Exhibition and will be on display through November 2.
